The statistics are grim. 50% of young Catholics leave the faith. If you are a parent, this is your worst nightmare. You feel guilty. "Where did we go wrong?"

Stop. Guilt helps no one. God loves your child more than you do.

1. The Green Martyrdom (Fasting)

Prayer is good. Prayer + Fasting is atomic. Jesus said some demons are only cast out by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Offer your hunger pangs for your child's conversion.

2. The Rosary (The Cord)

Imagine the Rosary as a lasso. Every Hail Mary wraps around your child's heart, gently pulling them back. They may run, but the Virgin Mary is holding the other end of the rope.

3. Don't Be Annoying

You cannot argue someone into the Kingdom.

  • Do: Love them. Feed them. Listen to them. Be joyful.
  • Don't: Leave tracts on their pillow. Send passive-aggressive texts. Critique their lifestyle at Thanksgiving. St. Francis de Sales said: "A spoonful of honey attracts more flies than a barrel of vinegar."

4. Surrender (The hardest part)

You can't save them. Only Jesus can. Pray the Surrender Novena: "O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything."
