The Full Armor of God Daily Prayer (Ephesians 6:10-18)
📜 Historical & Biblical Origin: Directly based on Saint Paul's inspired battlefield exhortation in Ephesians 6:10–18, teaching Christians to actively clothe their mind, body, and spirit every morning against the schemes of the enemy.
🕯️ Liturgical Setting & Posture: Stand firmly with erect posture at the beginning of the morning. Physically touch your waist, chest, feet, head, and hands as you symbolically put on each piece of divine armor.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Heavenly Father, this morning by faith, I put on the Full Armor of God:
1. The Belt of Truth: I buckle the truth of God around my waist. I reject all deception, worldly compromise, and self-delusion. Let Thy truth govern my thoughts, my words, and my decisions today.
2. The Breastplate of Righteousness: I strap on the breastplate of righteousness over my heart. I cover my emotions, my affections, and my conscience with the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. No accusation of the enemy can penetrate my heart.
3. The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace: I fit my feet with the readiness of the Gospel of peace. Wherever my footsteps lead today—into offices, homes, or conflicts—let me bring the calm, unshakeable peace of Jesus Christ.
4. The Shield of Faith: Above all, I take up the Shield of Faith in my left hand, with which I quench every fiery dart, arrow of panic, doubt, and temptation hurled by the evil one!
5. The Helmet of Salvation: I place upon my head the Helmet of Salvation, protecting my thoughts, my eyes, my brain, and my imagination with the certainty of my redemption in Christ.
6. The Sword of the Spirit: In my right hand, I take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the living, active, sharper than any two-edged sword—the Holy Word of God!
Clothed in Thy divine armor, I shall not be moved.
I stand victorious in Christ Jesus, my Lord and Commander. Amen.
