O God of love and author of all life, our hearts are shattered by the sudden loss of our precious baby, whom we carried with such immense love and expectation. The nursery is silent, our arms are empty, and tears flow from the deepest depths of our souls.
Lord, although our child never drew an earthly breath outside the womb, we know that their soul was known and loved by Thee from all eternity. We entrust our sweet baby into the eternal embrace of Thy infinite mercy. We believe that they rest now in the light of Thy heavenly kingdom, shielded forever from pain, sickness, sorrow, and sin.
Comfort our broken hearts as only the Holy Spirit can. Comfort this mother whose body grieves the life it nurtured; comfort this father who mourns his child in silent agony. Guard us against self-blame, bitterness, or despair.
Holy Mother Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, who didst cradle Thy crucified Son in thine arms at the foot of Calvary, wrap our departed little one in thy maternal mantle. Teach us to trust that love is stronger than death, and grant that one day, when our earthly pilgrimage is finished, we may embrace our beloved child forever in the glory of Heaven. Amen.
