The Prayer of Jabez for Breakthrough and Enlarged Territory (1 Chronicles 4:10)
📜 Historical & Biblical Origin: Recorded in 1 Chronicles 4:9–10, where Jabez ("more honorable than his brethren") cried out to the God of Israel amidst pain and limitation, and Scripture records: "And God granted him that which he requested."
🕯️ Instructions & Posture: Recite when launching a new enterprise, expanding ministry, seeking deliverance from generational limitations, or asking for honest breakthroughs.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying:
"Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed,
and enlarge my coast,
and that Thine hand might be with me,
and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!"
And God granted him that which he requested.
Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob:
I bring the prayer of Jabez before Thy throne today.
Bless me indeed, Lord! Not with worldly pride or vain riches,
but with the true spiritual and temporal blessings of Thy Kingdom.
Enlarge my territory: expand the reach of my work, the influence of my character,
and the capacity of my heart to serve my neighbors and glorify Thy Name.
Let Thine Almighty Hand be with me in every decision, every transaction, and every conversation.
And keep me far from evil, that sin may not grieve my conscience,
nor harm my family, nor bring ruin upon my household.
Lord, grant that which I request, according to Thy riches in glory.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

My eldest son had not spoken to our family for over 4 years. We offered a Holy Mass intention for him on his birthday and united in prayer on this wall. Two weeks later, he knocked on our front door asking for forgiveness. God never abandons a praying mother.
