Saint Anthony's Miraculous Prayer for Lost Articles, Keys, and Documents
📜 Historical & Biblical Origin: Saint Anthony of Padua (1195–1231), Doctor of the Church, became the universal patron for lost things after a novice took his precious handwritten psalter without permission. Anthony prayed, and the thief was moved by a terrifying vision to return the book and return to the order.
🕯️ Instructions & Posture: Stop frantic tearing through drawers. Stand still in the center of the room. Breathe deeply, make the Sign of the Cross, and recite with calm trust in Anthony's intercession.
O Holy Saint Anthony, gentlest of Saints,
whose love for God and charity for His creatures made thee worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers:
Miracles waited on thy word, which thou wert ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety.
Encouraged by this thought, I implore thee to obtain for me the restoration of that which has been lost:
(Specifically name the lost object: keys, wallet, passport, documents, wedding ring, or cherished item)
Restore peace and tranquility to my mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than the loss of this object.
Help me to search with clear eyes, calm patience, and observant stillness,
shielding my spirit from frantic panic and angry frustration.
Above all, dear Saint Anthony, obtain for me the grace to remain steadfast in the faith,
so that I may never lose the most precious treasure of all:
the friendship of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Saint Anthony, finder of lost things, pray for me!
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

My eldest son had not spoken to our family for over 4 years. We offered a Holy Mass intention for him on his birthday and united in prayer on this wall. Two weeks later, he knocked on our front door asking for forgiveness. God never abandons a praying mother.
