Thanksgiving After Holy Communion: St. Bonaventure's Transfige Dulcissime Domine
π Historical & Biblical Origin: Composed by Saint Bonaventure (1221β1274), Franciscan Cardinal, Doctor of the Church (Doctor Seraphicus), traditionally prayed during the quiet minutes of thanksgiving following the reception of the Holy Eucharist at Mass.
π―οΈ Liturgical Setting & Posture: Kneel in reverent silence after receiving Holy Communion. Close your eyes, resting with Christ dwelling sacramentally within your bodily temple.
Pierce, O most sweet Lord Jesus,
my inmost soul with the most joyous and healthful wound of Thy love,
with true, serene, and most holy apostolic charity,
that my soul may ever languish and melt with love and longing for Thee alone.
May my soul ever thirst for Thee, the Fountain of Life,
the Fountain of Wisdom and Knowledge,
the Fountain of Eternal Light,
the Torrent of Divine Pleasure, the Fullness of the House of God.
May my soul ever hunger after Thee, the Bread of Angels,
the Refreshment of holy souls, our daily supersubstantial Bread,
having all sweetness and savor and every delightful taste.
May my heart ever thirst after Thee and drink of Thee,
upon whom the angels desire to gaze.
May my soul be filled with the sweetness of Thy presence.
Let Thee alone be ever my hope, my whole trust, my riches,
my delight, my joy, my gladness, my rest and tranquility,
my peace, my sweetness, my fragrance, my food, my refreshment,
my refuge, my help, my wisdom, my portion, my possession, my treasure,
in whom may my mind and my heart be firmly and unchangeably fixed and rooted,
henceforth and for evermore. Amen.

Answered Graces from Fellow Believers
"Biopsy Results Returned 100% Benign"
I recited this novena every day before my surgery and lit a 7-day vigil candle. The peace that entered my heart the night before was inexplicable. Two days later, my oncologist called to say the biopsy came back completely benign. Glory to God!
"Reconciliation with My Estranged Son"
My eldest son had not spoken to our family for over 4 years. We offered a Holy Mass intention for him on his birthday and united in prayer on this wall. Two weeks later, he knocked on our front door asking for forgiveness. God never abandons a praying mother.
"Breakthrough After 6 Months of Unemployment"
Facing foreclosure, I turned to this prayer every morning at dawn. When my savings were down to their last week, a company I had interviewed with two months prior called out of nowhere offering a higher salary with full benefits. Keep the faith!
"Sudden Deliverance from Crippling 3 AM Panic"
I woke up gasping with chest-tightening anxiety and dread. I opened MyPrayerTower and read this prayer out loud. By the time I whispered the final Amen, a tangible warmth washed over my chest. I fell asleep in total peace. Jesus is real.
