Eternal Father, I desire to rest in Thy Heart this night. I make the intention of offering to Thee every beat of my heart, joining to them as many acts of love and desire. I pray that even while I am asleep, I will bring back to Thee souls that offend Thee. I ask forgiveness for the whole world, especially for those who know Thee and yet sin. I offer to Thee my every breath and heartbeat as a prayer of reparation. Amen.
Loving Lord, thank You for bringing me safely through this days trials and tests. I pray that You would give me a good nights rest so that I may wake refreshed, strong to do Your bidding in the service into which I have been called.Forgive me for the things that left undone and cleanse my heart from all foolish thoughts and lustful imaginations that can flood my mind when I am not actively depending upon You. Give me a steadfast heart towards You and keep me from the temptations that can overtake the minds of those that are far from home and in a hostile environment. Be with us, Lord, tonight. Stay to adore and praise, and give thanks for us while we sleep; to draw down mercy and grace upon the world; to give strength to the suffering souls in purgatory in their long night of waiting. Stay with us, to ward off the anger of God from our crowded cities with their dens of vice, their crimes that call to Heaven for vengeance. Stay with us, to guard the innocent, to sustain the tempted, to raise the fallen, to curb the power of the evil one, to prevent sin. Stay with us, to comfort the sorrowing, to bless the death-beds, to grant contrition to the dying, to receive into the arms of Your mercy the thousands that this night must come before You for judgment. Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.�Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.�As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring to Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.�Give me a good nights sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.�Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. I ask that You would keep me from all perils and dangers of this night, for the love of Your only Son my Saviour Jesus Christ.Thank You, that there is nowhere that I can go that is beyond the perimeter of Your protection and as You promised in Your Word, wherever I go, Your hand will guide me and whatever I do, your right hand will hold me fast. Loving Lord, I pray for all those that are in hospital tonight and who are facing long nights away from home with little sleep and who are bereft of their families and home comforts. Be close to each one in hospital tonight, especially those that are finding sleep and rest so difficult. Be near to those that are frightened or disorientated, and may Your peace and hope fill many hearts tonight. Lord You are the God of comfort and rest, and I pray that You would pour out that peace and comfort and joy that only comes from knowing You, onto those in hospital tonight. I pray there will be open hearts tonight, ready and willing to come to Christ Jesus as Saviour, so that You can pour that perfect peace that passes all understanding into their hearts and minds tonight. O great and glorious God, you imbued your holy priest, Father Michael J.
