May I grow in Your Love and Your service, and become a pleasing offering to You; and with You to Your Father. May the mystery I celebrate help me to reach eternal life with you.
Great is the wisdom of the Lord! God Almighty, Your Wisdom includes An understanding of what is fair, What is logical, what is true, What is right and what is lasting. It mirrors Your pure intellect! I entreat You to grant me such Wisdom, That my labours may reflect Your insight. Your Wisdom expands in Your creations, Displaying complexity and multiplicity. Dear heavenly Father, you number our hairs and determine our days; you hang the stars and feed the sparrows; you open doors no one can shut and shut doors no one can open. Surely, we can trust you when the time comes for making big decisions, or for that matter, any decisions. We are in just such a season again, Father, and we know we are not alone. We will trust you for generous wisdom, straight paths and peaceful hearts, all for your glory. How we praise you for being the decision-making-God. It�s not our decisions, but yours that make all the difference. We will plan, but we trust you to order our steps. We will pray, but ask you to fix our prayers en route to heaven. We will seek counsel, but count on you to overrule faulty or incomplete input from our most trusted friends and mentors. We will search the Scriptures, but not looking for proof texts but for you, Father. All we want and need is you. Free us from the paralysis of analysis�wanting to make the right decision, more than we want to be righteous people; wanting to be known as wise people, more than we want to know you. Free us from the idolatry of assuming there�s only one �perfect� choice in any given situation. Free us from making decisions primary for our comfort and other�s approval, or fear their disapproval. Free us to know that good choices don�t always lead to the easiest outcomes, especially at first. Free us from second and twenty-second guessing our decisions. Father, no matter if it�s wisdom about buying or selling, vocation or vacation, this place or that place, this person or that person, we know that in ALL things, your will is our sanctification�our becoming more and more like Jesus. Give us this passion; make it our delight. So, Father, make us more and more like Jesus, even as we trust you for the opening and closing of doors that are in front of us. Loving Lord I know that it says in the Bible that the people of this world do not understand the Scriptures nor do they understand the things of the Spirit of God, because those things are foolishness to the natural heart of man. It says that people do not understand the things of God because those things are spiritually discerned.Give me spiritual understanding and wisdom to discern the things of God I pray, for it is my desire to know the truth You have promised to everyone who trusts You as Saviour.�At times, Lord, I feel as if I am a single sheep in the midst of a hungry pack of wolves as I travel through this evil world. But I also know that You have counselled us to be wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. Give me discernment I pray, so that I may be as wise as a serpent in the midst of this crooked generation, but also give me the gentle Spirit of Christ, that the love of Jesus may show forth in my life as I seek to walk worthy for You. Loving Father, I know that we are living in days when there is so much deception that it is often difficult to know the truth. Deception not only in the world but in the Church, yet You have told us that if we know the truth, the truth will set us free. Thank You, that I am already free form the bondage of sin and death and have my feet firmly planted on the Lord Jesus Christ. But I also ask that You would grant me discernment and an understanding heart to know what is good and true, and to be able to identify and reject what is false and deceptive.Help me to test every spirit to see what is truth or whether deception is being peddled. Thank You, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need. It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say. God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand. Heavenly Father, my heart is trusting in you for your great help. Lord, I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for almost six years now. There is no sign whether it will change to a marriage. Sometimes he talks about setling down then nothing happens. I am so confused and don't know whether I should call the relationship off. Heavenly Father, I know that the Bible says that we do not wrestle against the powers from the earthly sphere, but against satanic forces in the heavenly and spiritual realms, against principalities, powers and other strong forces of evil, whose chief aim is to kill, steal, destroy and shipwreck the lives of all your children. Lord, help me I pray, to resist the devil, knowing that the Holy Spirit Who is living within me is greater than all the combined forces in the satanic realm. Help me I pray, to utilise every piece of the heavenly armour day by day, and to clothe myself in Christ, knowing that in Him is my protection and my sufficiency to resist all the powers that are coming against me and those I love. Identify in me any lusts or habits that have become a stronghold and which are adversely taking control of my life. Give me the grace to admit my faults and turn from everything and anything that in any way is dragging me into a slavery to sin. Break I pray all strongholds in my life, knowing that it is only by the cleansing blood of Christ, that I can gain victory over the world and the flesh and any strongholds that have enslaved me. Lord, I surrender my life to You and pray that from this day forward, You would lead and guide me into all truth. Loving Lord, I thank You for the opportunity to step aside from the hustle and bustle of work-a-day living and for the opportunity to enjoy a slower pace of life, in the twilight years of my retirement. Thank You for the way that You have led me and been with me throughout my busy working career and I pray that You will not forsake me now that life is about slow down as I face my forthcoming retirement. Keep me I pray, from regretting the passing of my life and may I see this time as an opportunity to seek You more and to live in the expectation that You will open new horizons and opportunities to serve You in ways that will bring blessings to many and glory to Your name. Dear Lord, I ask You to guide me and give me wisdom as I move away from my family and my home country to work in a foreign place. I ask You to be with me in all that I do as I face the challenge of learning to live and work in a different culture with different standards and beliefs. Enable me to adjust to the differences, but not be caught up in the things of this world. Give me wisdom and discernment as I meet new people, and help me to be both cautious in my dealings as well as kind in my actions. Father, in a world where we are being fed so many untruths and distortions of Your Word, we pray that You would give all Your children true spiritual wisdom and discernment to judge between that which is good and that which is unwholesome.Give us all a hunger and thirst after righteousness, and increase our spiritual appetites so that we may imbibe the milk of the Word and digest the meat of the Word. Equip us with godly discernment and spiritual awareness so that we may live a righteous life in Christ.Father, we thank You for Your Word and all the inexhaustible truths it contains. Heavenly Father, protect and guide us we pray in these days of deceitful practices and increasing confusion in our places of worship, and give to Your children discernment to recognise the truth of the gospel of Christ and reject all teaching that is counter to Your Word.Thank You, that You have given us all that we need for godly living and forgive us for the times when we have left the straight path of truth to drink at the enemy�s poisoned cisterns. Help us to discern truth from error and to stand fast in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved us and gave Himself for us.Raise up we pray, an army of godly men who will teach the whole council of God, and give them the courage to stand against any false teachers that they may encounter. Heavenly Father, I ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation that You are pleased to give generously to all Your children, who come to you seeking Your face with all their hearts. Heavenly Father, how I bless Your holy name for the wonderful work that Your Holy Spirit is doing in each of Your children's lives as You mold and make us into the people that You would have us to be.Thank You for the convicting work that You did in my life and for the maturing process that continues to take place today, as I yield to Your ongoing teaching, training and corrective programme within me. Provide me I pray, with Your daily help and guidance and may I learn the many lessons that You are seeking to teach me, as You continue to comfort and correct.May I be willing to learn all that You would teach me and may I be increasingly sensitive to Your warnings and promptings.Give me I pray, ears to hear Your still small voice and a heart that is willing to walk in the path that You would choose for me to follow. Dear Lord, give me I pray, a true and biblical understanding of how to live godly in Christ Jesus. I realise more and more how hateful sin is to You Father God, and I realise that I must have been hurting You by my many petty indulgences, which I now realise is sin in Your eyes. Lord, I want to develop a godly perspective and to live a righteous life that is pleasing to You, and I realise that I must forget the things that are in the past and press on to the upward call I have in Christ Jesus. Lord, I know that reverence for You is the first step to wisdom, and I pray that You would develop in me a godly fear and a humble respect for all those things that are so objectionable to the world mindset, but which is pleasing in Your sight. Give me godly wisdom I pray, to follow after that which is good and give me wise discernment to know those things that are displeasing to You, and to flee far from anything that could tempt me to sin against You.Open Your Word I pray to my understanding, and draw me ever closer to Yourself, so that like Job I can say, �I have heard of You with my ears but now You have opened my eyes to a deeper spiritual understanding of Who You truly are.� I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word, which reminds us of the importance of asking You for godly wisdom when we feel that we are lacking in understanding or discernment, for You have promised to give generously to all who ask in faith. Lord, there are many areas of my life in which I desire to apply godly wisdom, and I pray that by Your grace, You would supply me with a sound mind so that I may be able to give an answer to whosoever asks me about the faith that I have in the Lord Jesus Christ. And Father, by Your grace, I pray that this will help to prevent me from being tossed about by the many winds of doctrine and false gospels that are being peddled today, by blind teachers of the blind. Help me to truly ask in faith, for I know and believe that Your Word is true and I trust You to keep Your Word. I confess Father, at times I doubt that You include me in this promise as well, so help me to overcome any doubts that may surface in my heart and may my faith in You become strong and my wisdom from You be used to Your praise and glory. Heavenly Father, thank You, that I am in Christ and that I am not of this world. Thank You, that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places and that my home is in heaven. Thank You, that I am Your child. And Lord, knowing that I am in the world but not of the world, I ask that You would give me the grace and wisdom to live in such a way as to glorify Your name in all I say and do.Help me Lord, to pray for my work colleagues with a biblical mind-set. Thank You, Father, for the wonderful way that we have been created in Your likeness and for the amazing way that our bodies and minds function. Lord, I pray that You would enable me a deeper understanding of You, Your will, Your ways and Your person. Teach me what You would have me do in the place where You have planted me. Help me day by day Lord, to fix the eyes of my heart and the gaze of my understanding on You. Lord, my plan is to leave home as I know that I am becoming a drain on my parents in these difficult times, and I want to be able to support myself and help them in whatever way I can. Give me wisdom as I make my plans. Help me find the right place to live and provide a good job for me I pray. And Lord, please help me to be able to leave in such a way that my parents do not feel that I have deserted them, but rather that this is the best thing for us all.Thank You for my parents who have both been such a support and encouragement to me throughout my whole life. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the Lord and God Who appoints and removes those in authority. Father, we bring before You our own nations and pray that You would raise up and put down those men and women in our own nation that will further Your plans and purposes in our nation and throughout the wider international perspective.Give wisdom we pray, to all those that You have appointed to be the governors and rulers of our own nation in particular and throughout the whole world in general. Give us wisdom to understand the times in which we live, and prepare us for all that we may have to face in the in foreseeable future.Loving Lord, we know that there are many places of darkness and wickedness. Many nations that have adopted an anti-God agenda and that many of Your children are living in nations that are facing severe persecution and dangers. Thank You, that He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world, and we pray for all our brothers and sisters throughout the nations that are facing any from or persecution, because of the faith in Jesus Christ. Give them courage and uphold each one with the power of You might right hand.Lord, we know that the nations in general and the leaders that You have placed in control are for the most part turning their backs on the true and living Way, and progressing the people in their lands down a path towards Your wrath and their destruction.Look down in pity on all peoples throughout the nations. Search the hearts of all people we pray, and draw those that are seeking You into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.Pity the people of the nations, and we pray that despite the mounting grief and tragedy in so many places on earth, that Your will be done, and that You would save many people form the jaws of death and destruction by the might of Your power. Dear Heavenly Father, You have blessed me with much abundance of wealth, and I do thank You for all that You have so graciously provided for me. Lord, I want to thank You with all my heart and ask that give me great wisdom to know how best to use this wealth, that I believe has been entrusted to me from Your gracious hand, and for which I praise and thank You. Help me not to be selfish in the use of my wealth and also I pray that You would prevent me not to be foolish either, for I believe that this is a resource that can be used for both good and evil. Lord, I pray that You would help me to use this abundance that You have lovingly bestowed on me, wisely and to Your greater glory. Lord, I know that there are many people who seek out wealthy folk with a wrong intention and I ask that You would give me great discernment with all those whom I meet. Dear Lord Jesus, You said in Your Word that if anyone needed wisdom they were to ask You and You give it freely to all who ask. I come to You today to ask for wisdom, especially in my dealings with money and finances. Lord, I do not have a lot of money or savings, but I have always had sufficient, for which I praise Your name. However, the price of all the necessities of life seem to be rising and I ask You to give me wisdom on how to spend my money wisely. Lord, I know that however much or however little I have in my purse I can always spend it on something, and I think it was Proverbs that says that money is like a wild animal that needs to be tamed. Give me wisdom, Lord, to use the money I have wisely, to be generous without being foolish, to be liberal without being imprudent, to give willingly when prompted by You without feeling obliged to give to everyone in need. Lord, I do thank You for providing me with a job, but I also want to say thank You for this welcome vacation and pray that it will be a time of real refreshment and relaxation. I pray that I will make the best use of the time I have, and as I take this break from the busy schedule that is demanded of me from my work, I pray that my body will be relaxed, my mind renewed and spirit refreshed. I know Lord, that it can be quite difficult to suddenly change from a busy active work schedule to the slower pace of a vacation, but I do ask You to help me adjust from the very beginning so that I may make the most of the time that I have. Let my heart and soul be open to You and Your leading, and I pray that this may be a time when You become more real to me. This I ask in Jesus� name,�Amen.
Dear Heavenly God, I have a dear friend that is going through many problems in their life and do not know which way to turn. Lord, I pray that in Your mercy and love, Your Holy Spirit will reach out to comfort and guide.Take away all strain and stress that seems to be flooding his (her) mind, and lead them in a straight path into the arms of the Lord Jesus.I pray that in Your grace and mercy You will be their comfort and guide, and draw them into the everlasting arms of Christ, in Whose name I pray,Amen.

Heavenly Father, the things that are happening in the world today are waxing worse and worse, just as the Bible said would happen in these end times, and we look to You to know what to do. Lord, we look to You for knowledge and wisdom at a time when all that is connected with God and godliness is being so severely attacked, and is so quickly being eroded away.�Father, we know that the Bible is Your Word of truth, and yet throughout the nations it is losing its authority and respect, and being replaced with secular humanism and an anti-God agenda. Father, we know that the Lord Jesus is coming soon to judge the nations with righteousness and truth, but we pray that as we wait for His any day return, that You would grant us Your knowledge and wisdom to know what to do and how to behave in a world that is spiralling out of control. Dear Lord Jesus, I know that You have a plan for each of Your children, for You scheduled each day of our lives before we were even conceived in our mother�s womb. Help me, Lord, to discern that plan, the best plan that You have chosen for me, for I desire to be in the centre of Your will and not follow the empty desire of my heart.Thank You that You know the end from the beginning, but thank You that You have also given each of us a free will to choose the good and to reject the evil. Help me I pray, to choose to do what is righteous in Your sight, to go where You are calling me and to say those things that honour your name. Lord, how foolish I am when I trust in my own limited knowledge instead of Your infinite wisdom. Take over and be the Boss today. Amen.
Loving Lord, I am single and would love to have a boyfriend and to eventually get married, for You created men and women to live together and to cleave to each other, in the bond of loving unity. But Lord I want to be wise in my choices, for I know that You have scheduled every day of my life and this sort of union needs to be rooted in Your love and grounded on true biblical principles, and these days Lord, it is increasingly difficult to find men who love You with a godly love. Lord, it is my desire to seek You over this matter of a boyfriend with all my heart, to seek You first and to leave my life entirely in Your hands, knowing You will prepare both my heart and that of my future boyfriend/spouse as is best for me and for him. Help me not to follow my own feelings and emotions, which I know can be false and can often impede true wisdom, but rather may I rest in You entirely, knowing that at the right time and in the right way You will bring the right man of God into my life, so that together we may love and serve You as You would choose. Help me to be patient and gracious in my waiting, and help me to love and trust You more and more. I pray that You would prepare us both for that time when You draw us together in a loving relationship, both in Your timing and in Your perfect way. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Loving Lord, thank You that You have placed us in families. I ask Your blessing on all those that are seeking to teach their children in a home environment. I pray that You will give parents wisdom and discernment as they decide which curriculum they should follow and what lessons they will teach their children. I particularly ask that You would lead and guide those parents who are seeking to bring up their children in the fear and the nurture of the Lord. Give them wisdom in their planning and patience as they teach their children, day by day. May You find first place in all the choices these parents make, and I pray that they will not be placed under any pressure from the various authorities, requiring them to embrace teachings that is not founded on Your Word. Undertake for all the financial constraints that are laid on all who teach their children at home, and meet the needs of both the parents and their children, I pray. Support and strengthen all those involved in home-schooling. May they keep their eyes and heart on the Lord Jesus Christ in these difficult days.Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for my precious children. Give me wisdom Lord as I seek in Your strength to raise them to know the truth of Your Word.Help me never to hold my children too tightly to myself or develop an attitude of parental selfishness, but help me to equip them to become men and women of God who develop an attitude of responsibility, wisdom and faithfulness to You, as they develop and grow older and take up their own positions in the world.Lord, I commit my children into Your keeping. I love them so dearly, yet I know that Your love for each of my children far exceeds the love that I could have. Keep them I pray, under the shadow of Your protective wings.
