Saint Charbel Makhlouf: Miraculous Prayer for Physical Healing & Incurable Diseases
📜 Historical & Biblical Origin: Saint Charbel Makhlouf (1828–1898), Maronite monk and hermit of Annaya, Lebanon, whose incorrupt body emitted miraculous sweat and medicinal oil. Thousands of documented medical cures of cancer, paralysis, blindness, and terminal illness have made him one of the most venerated healing intercessors in the world.
🕯️ Liturgical Setting & Posture: Prayed beside a sickbed or before an image of Saint Charbel. Anoint the afflicted area with holy water or blessed oil while praying.
O God, who didst draw Saint Charbel to the solitary silence of the hermitage,
filling him with the fire of Eucharistic love and giving him the miraculous power to heal the incurable:
We prostrate ourselves before Thee, begging for the physical and spiritual healing of:
(Name of the sick person and specific medical condition)
Saint Charbel, wonder-worker of Lebanon,
thou who didst spend thy days in fasting, prayer, and silence,
pour thy powerful intercession over this afflicted body.
Dissolve the malignant tumors; restore movement to paralyzed limbs;
rebuild damaged nerves, tissues, and failing organs;
and banish the acute pain that drains the spirit.
Obtain for us from Christ the grace of a miraculous recovery,
so that the physicians may be confounded, God's Name may be glorified,
and this brother / sister may return in health to give thanks at the altar.
Saint Charbel, physician of bodies and souls, pray for us!
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

My eldest son had not spoken to our family for over 4 years. We offered a Holy Mass intention for him on his birthday and united in prayer on this wall. Two weeks later, he knocked on our front door asking for forgiveness. God never abandons a praying mother.

I woke up gasping with chest-tightening anxiety and dread. I opened MyPrayerTower and read this prayer out loud. By the time I whispered the final Amen, a tangible warmth washed over my chest. I fell asleep in total peace. Jesus is real.
