Let us not rush to the language of healing, before understanding the fullness of the injury and the depth of the wound. Let us not rush to offer a band�aid, when the gaping wound requires surgery and complete reconstruction. Let us not offer false equivalencies, thereby diminishing the particular pain being felt in a particular circumstance in a particular historical moment. Let us not speak of reconciliation without speaking of reparations and restoration, or how we can repair the breach and how we can restore the loss. Let us not rush past the loss of this mother�s child, this father�s child�someone�s beloved son. Let us not value property over people; let us not protect material objects while human lives hang in the balance. Let us not value a false peace over a righteous justice. Let us not be afraid to sit with the ugliness, the messiness, and the pain that is lifein community together. Let us not offer clich�s to the grieving, those whose hearts are being torn asunder. Instead� Let us mourn black and brown men and women, those killed extrajudicially every 28 hours. Let us lament the loss of a teenager, dead at the hands of a police officer who describedhim as a demon. Let us weep at a criminal justice system, which is neither blind nor just. Let us call for the mourning men and the wailing women, those willing to rend their garments of privilege and ease, and sit in the ashes of this nation�s original sin. Let us be silent when we don�t know what to say. Let us be humble and listen to the pain, rage, and grief pouring from the lips of our neighbors and friends. Let us decrease, so that our brothers and sisters who live on the underside of history may increase. Let us pray with our eyes open and our feet firmly planted on the ground Let us listen to the shattering glass and let us smell the purifying fires, for it is the language of the unheard. Dear Lord, I thank You that You care for people like me who have gone so far astray from the way of truth. Thank You, that You have never given up on me despite my addiction to drugs. Thank You, that I can come to You to seek for deliverance and know that You will not turn me away. Thank You, that Your mercies are new every morning and thank You, that You are faithful and true to Your Word, even when we prove faithless.�Lord, I know that Your Word promises a way of deliverance to all who seek You and I believe that in Jesus is found healing and wholeness, salvation and security, deliverance and joy. And Lord, I ask for You to deliver me from these drugs and free me from being in bondage to this cursed addiction.�Help me I pray. Save me Lord and set me free from these drugs on which I have become so dependant. Father, I have been deeply hurt and grieved because of my spouse�s adultery and the pain at times is more than I can bear. It is so hard to come to terms with the fact that the one person in your life that you are closest to.. and have trusted implicitly, is discovered to be an adulterer who has betrayed the loving trust we have between us. I lay my brokenness before You and pour out my heart to You, for I have no one to turn to Lord but You.. and I need Your comfort and healing touch to get through this tremendous sadness.� Father.. in my heart I know that if I nurse this grief and continue to feel sorry for myself.. that it is likely to turn into sour bitterness and acidic resentment. Prevent me Lord from going down that self-indulgent route, but rather heal me I pray. Touch the areas deep within that are still raw with pain; bathe my wounds with Your love and peace.. and bring me through this ordeal, stronger and more able to be of service to You. Help me to forgive too.. Loving Lord Jesus, You are the good Shepherd of the sheep and You are the One Who carries the little lambs in Your arms and gently cares for those that are weak and afraid. Lord, it is so hard to watch a child in distress and feel helpless to aid them, but I pray Lord, that You would safely carry this little child and tend for him/her as only You can. I lift up this precious child to You, and ask for Your healing power to permeate through their frail body and return them to radiant health and strength. Relieve all the symptoms of this unpleasant illness that has invaded this little body. Guard my child from danger and may he/she respond to Your healing touch on their life. Fiorelli, O.S.F.S, Superior General of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales The "Way of the Cross" of suffering and affliction is a sure way, one which leads to God and to the perfection of his love if we are faithful. First Station -- Jesus Is Condemned To Death The Cross is from God, but it is only "cross" if we do not join ourselves to it; for when we are strongly resolved to desire the cross which God gives to us then it is no longer a "cross" at all. If it is from God, why do we not desire it? Second Station -- Jesus Is Given His Cross The Cross has been sanctified because it was the instrument which Jesus used for our Redemption. All Christians who aspire to heaven must take up the cross of the Lord and follow him. This will mean walking in his steps, imitating his virtues and having but one purpose and goal: his. Third Station -- Jesus Falls The First Time Notice the infinite goodness of the Savior who wished to die the death of men and women so as to enable us to live according to the original expectation for Adam, that is, to live God's life. But to better grasp the humility of Our Lord, listen to what St. Paul writes: "Though he was God's Son, he emptied himself." (Phil. 2:6-7 freely) O, God, but it is wondrous that the Eternal Word should empty himself and set aside his proper glory for his creatures who measure up so poorly to his love! Fourth Station -- Jesus Meets His Mother The Mother of Christ seeks out her Son who is the life of her life. And why does she seek him out? To be ever near him, her Son and her God. Fifth Station -- Simon Of Cyrene Helps Jesus The evangelists do not name the majority of people who figure in the Passion. But they do recall the name of Simon who helps our Lord carry his cross. The cross is the royal gate by which we enter the temple of holiness. Love this altogether precious cross; look upon it with eyes of love. Sixth Station -- Veronica Cleanses The Face of Jesus I reflect upon the manner in which the Lord suffers. In his heart, he suffers willingly, with patience and love. The cross is a remedy capable of healing all our evils. Seventh Station -- Jesus Falls The Second Time He suffers in order to witness to his love for us. O, how great is his love! Lord, I do not know if I have any love at all, but if I do, it is so little that it is content to shed a single tear; and it believes itself perfected when it utters a few sighs. And yet, O Good God, how much I insist and protest that I want to love you and give you my entire heart! Eighth Station -- Jesus Meets The Women Of Jerusalem Christ has made it clear that he loves our tears when they are caused by love. If we have tears, let us cry them altogether simply, because we certainly could not have a more worthy subject over which to cry. Ninth Station -- Jesus Falls The Third Time My iniquity is indeed great. O, Lord, who will deliver me from this labyrinth if not you? We would have reason to fear if we relied on our own strength. For he is for us. Tenth Station -- Jesus Is Stripped Of His Clothing Christ stripped teaches us what we must do to please him: strip our hearts of all sorts of unworthy affections and pretenses, no longer loving them but desiring nothing other than him. Eleventh Station -- Jesus Is Nailed To The Cross The Son of God is nailed to the Cross. What puts him there? Certainly it is love. Well, since it is certain that he died for us the least we ought to do for him is to live from love. He who wants to kiss Christ must mount his cross and be wounded by the thorns of his crown. Twelfth Station -- Jesus Dies On The Cross Our Lord chose the death of the Cross to witness to his Love. There he offered himself in love, unto love, by love and of love. Thirteenth Station -- Jesus Is Taken Down From The Cross Love draws all the pains, torments, sufferings, sorrows, wounds, passion, Cross of our Lord into the heart of his holy Mother. The sword of death which cut through the body of this well-beloved Son also cut through the heart of this all loving Mother. Fourteenth Station -- Jesus Is Placed In The Tomb Love and death co-penetrate one another in the Savior's passion. We must die to every other love in order to live from Jesus' love, so that we may not die eternally. Fifteenth Station -- The Resurrection Of Jesus That we may live in your eternal love, O Savior of our souls, we sing eternally, "Live, Jesus! Jesus is the one I love! Live, Jesus, you whom I love. I love Jesus who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen."

Dear Lord as I settle down once again for the night I pray for Your healing touch on every part of my life � both spiritual and physical. Lord You know all the little niggles and pains that I am going through at the moment, and I pray for Your healing touch upon every area of my life in general.. and for relief from the aches, pains and problems that I have in my body, in particular. Ease away all the stresses and strains of the day and heal the physical problems I have. And I pray that in Your goodness and grace You would give me a good, pain-free nights sleep so that I may wake refreshed in body, soul and spirit, ready to do Your bidding - this I ask in Jesus name,� Amen �Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking;� (Psalm 6:2)
I prayed "Please Lord, my life is a mess, let your love flow through me and bring healing." And like a river cool refreshing water you flowed through me. Not as a gentle stream, a rivulet of hope, but a torrent, sweeping debris away. All those broken branches, rust-encrusted items, and accumulated debris, which were holding back the flow swept aside in a torrent of love, flooding through my veins, pouring into my heart, filling my life. Father of all mercies, we pray for the families who have fled their homes in fear. We lift up the mothers and fathers who have escaped with only their children, leaving everything else behind. Their country has changed, their lives will never be the same and they are afraid of the future. Lord, you are the God who heals. Please bring your comfort and healing to those who are hurting. We lift up the communities who have taken in refugees and displaced people, even though they may be struggling themselves. We thank you for their generosity and compassion towards those in distress. Lord, you are the God who provides. We pray that timely help and support will reach all who are in need. Father, there is so much pain and conflict across the Middle East. We pray for leaders throughout the region and ask you to turn their hearts towards peace. As our leaders and those around the world consider how to respond, please grant them wisdom and insight. Lord Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace. We pray for an end to the violence and bloodshed, and ask you to bring a new dawn of peace across the Middle East.
Loving Lord, I bring this little life to You and lay it at Your feet. You know the circumstances of this tragic accident and the complications that it may cause in this little life. I pray that You would touch every part of this toddler�s body and heal this little child, I pray. Bless the parents Lord, as they remain at the bedside and give them the grace to face the difficult time that they are in. Supply them with courage and provide them the peace that only comes from You as they meet with the doctors and seek to gently nudge this little life back to full health and strength. Thank You, Lord, that the accident was not fatal and I pray that in Your grace, You continue to hold this young toddler in Your arms and that You continue to oversee the healing process. I praise and thank You in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Loving Lord Jesus, You were the One that said, "let the little children come unto me," and You placed Your hands on all and blessed them. I come to You today to ask that Your healing hand would touch the life of this little child, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Lord, their little body is racked with pain and life has become so difficult, as the cancer is encroaching through their tiny frame. Be close to this little one I pray, and hold them close to Yourself. Lord, I ask that they may be healed and spared any from more pain. Be close to this little one each hour of the day, I pray. I lift up the parents who are baffled by this disease, and I ask for Your comfort and strength to uphold them as they seek to care for the little sick child. May they rest in You and be comforted and strengthened in this difficult time, and Lord, give them both the wisdom and skill to nurse their child back to full heath. I pray that they may the find their sufficiency and comfort in You, Whom to know is life eternal.�Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen.
Bless the Lord oh my soul and may I never forget Your gracious benefits, for You are the divine physician and are able to touch every part of our lives with Your redeeming love. Lord, we live in a fallen world and each one of us needs Your healing touch in so many ways on our lives, for none of us are exempt from the ravages of sin and none of us are immune from sickness and suffering, and so I come to You today to ask for Your healing touch in every area of our lives.Lord, I know that sickness and suffering, pain and death is a reality in life, for in this world we will have tribulation, and yet a life that is surrendered to You is one that is able to give thanks to You in everything, knowing that You are able and willing to be with us and uphold us in every area of life, for Your grace is sufficient in all and every situation.Lord, I believe this to be true, for Your Word is faithful and true. I also believe that You are able to heal every manner of disease and sickness and so I pray for Your healing touch in every area of my life, and in the lives of all whom I love, body and soul, as well as spirit. But Lord, I also know that You often permit sickness and suffering in an amazing way to draw us ever closer to Yourself.Lord, I give You my life and surrender all to You, for I desire the full and total healing, the sort of healing that brings glory to You. Thank You that I am Your child and You are the great and mighty physician. Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow your healing hand to heal me. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others. Touch my heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Dear God, I just want to bring my precious Grandma to You as she is quite sick and I just ask Lord, that You would touch her with Your healing hands and restore her to full health and strength. Lord, I also know that she is getting older and her health has been deteriorating quite rapidly over the past few months. Father, I know that our times are in Your hands and for everything there is a season, and I know Lord, that life does not continue indefinitely, nevertheless I do pray that she may be restored to good health. Be with her Lord in her sickness, and may she feel Your presence with her. Provide for all her needs I pray, and I ask Lord that the doctors would identify the right medicines to help speed her recovery. Keep her close to You in Your loving arms, and may she find her rest in You especially during this period of sickness. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Dear Lord, my son has started to have asthma attacks and they seem to be getting worse. He finds it difficult to breathe and can get so frightened when an attack happens. Dear God please be with him and with me too. Guide me to know what to do and not to panic when these frightening attacks happen. Help me to be able to cope with all I have to do to with the breathing equipment that we are having to use. Lord, I know that You are a God Who heals and You are the God of the impossible. I pray that You heal my son of this distressing disease and return him to full health, so that he can live a normal life and be able to play with the other children and join in sports at school without having to worry about another attack. Thank You, Lord, that You care for each of Your children and so I put my son into Your hands and ask for his healing.��Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen.
Precious Lord Jesus, I thank You that You are my Saviour and that You have redeemed me from the kingdom of darkness into Your glorious kingdom of Light. Lord, I know that Your Word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that a joyful heart is a good and healing medicine. Lord, I pray that in Your strength, I may maintain a heart that is brimming with Your joy and one that rejoices in the God of my Salvation day by day, knowing that a broken spirit �dries up the bones�.Lord, I know that You are a miracle working God, and that the greatest miracle of all that You have wrought in me, is my great salvation in Jesus Christ, Who died for me so that I might be forgiven of my sins and have everlasting life, but I also ask that You send Your mighty healing power into my body, during the time of illness that I am currently going through.Father I pray that You would touch every organ and ligament of my body, every joint and cell and restore me to full health and strength, but I also pray that during my sickness You would touch my heart and fill it with Your love, Your grace and Your joy, for in You is the fullness of joy. Grand SpiritThank You for being with me through all the ups and downs of my life and for the many blessings that You have given me for which I praise and thank You. You know the illness that I have been struggling with for a long time now and that there is little that seems to be able to be done by the medical profession - but I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know every part of my body. You know exactly why I have been ill for so long. I come to You now asking that You would work a full recovery in my body - whatever is causing this persistent problem. I pray that You would, in Your mercy, give me back the health and strength I need. Guide me along the path that You have planned for me.
Heavenly Father, my hope is You alone, for You have promised to draw close to those that are broken-hearted, distressed and abused. Father, You know the on-going and increasing emotional abuse that I am receiving at the hand of my spouse.�Lord, I know that this is not Your will for my life, and I come to You for strength and courage, for I have no-one to turn to for help but You. Protect me I pray. Protect us all from this escalating violence and help me to know what to do�Give me wisdom and courage I pray, and place a hedge of protection around us all. And Father God, I ask that Your Holy Spirit would do a mighty convicting work in heart of my spouse, for it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus. Loving Lord, I thank You for my brother. I love him dearly, but Lord I know that You care for him so much more that I ever could, for Your whole nature is bathed and brimming with perfect Love and deep Compassion. Heal my dear brother I pray, not only of his physical ailments that are bothering him at this time, but more importantly I pray that You would address his spiritual need. Lord, he has played the fool with the good news of Salvation and wants to "enjoy life" first, before he thinks about his eternal soul.�But Father, this is a dangerous game to play, and I pray that in Your love and compassionate mercy You will convict Him of sin in his life, and the need for Salvation through Jesus Christ, Who is his only door into eternal life. You have called each of us to pray earnestly for all men, and especially those of our own household, and though I know this means I should pray for all my born-again brothers and sister in Christ, I am sure that it includes the brother that is a part of my earthly family. And so I come to You today to plead that in Your grace and mercy, You would bring my own brother, whom I love dearly, to recognise His need of Jesus, just as You did the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. Heal him Lord, in body, soul and spirit I pray, in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
Oh Lord, I am ill and feel frightened and alone as I have no one to care for me. I have no one who is really interested in me at all, and I feel lost and alone and so vulnerable. And now Lord Jesus, I have come down with this sickness and I feel so ill. Lord, I ask You please to make me well again soon, and lift up my sagging spirit, I pray. I know Lord in my heart that I am not alone, because You are with me, which is the real reason that I am praying to You now, because You promised to be with me and never to leave me or forsake me, even when everyone else does. Be with me now I pray, and reach out Your healing hand of blessing and touch me Lord. Please make me feel better, not only in my body but also in my life, I pray. Thank You, that I can call on You in times of trouble or illness or loneliness, and know that You are always there to hear and answer, to heal and comfort and help. Lord, I pray that You would help me to really apply this truth in my life, not just when I am sick, but every day.�Amen. �God provides homes for those who are deserted. Loving God, I have been going through some painful memories which I just can�t seem to get rid of, no matter how hard I try. They keep on returning to haunt me, and I thought that Jesus would just take away all the hurt within. Please help me GodI know I am a sinner and I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for my sins to pay the price that I ought to pay, so why do I still feel so bad? Why do I still feel so full of guilt and bitterness, anger hatred and resentment?Help me Lord, to forgive all those that hurt and betrayed me. Heal me I pray, of all the negative emotions that well-up inside of me. Enable me to stop thinking about the painful memories of the past and concentrate on all the beautiful things that Jesus has done for me, and the wonderful things that He has prepared for me in heaven � and to start to enjoy them this moment on.When painful memories arise in my heart, help me to stop thinking about them and to fix my mind on all that Jesus did for me. Help me to be more like Jesus. Help me Lord, to forgive those that have hurt me and not to build up resentments. Take away the bitter feelings of anger and betrayal inside, and show me how I can best live my life. Teach me how to love others in the same way that Jesus loved me and gave His life for me, so that I can change my thinking and concentrate on the lovely things in my life, the good relationships I have and all the happy memories too.I ask this in His name,Amen.
Lord Jesus, my heart is aching as I had an abortion a long time ago and I still feel guilty for I know now that what I did was wrong. It was a sin against You Lord. But Father, at the time I was frightened. I realise now that my sin was against You in so many ways, and that the responsibility is mine. Oh God, I have wondered if I could ever be forgiven. I have confessed my sin so many times, my promiscuous ways and the abortion I had.Thank You, Lord, that at last You have brought peace into my heart, for I now realise that You died on the cross to pay the price of all my sin, even those I may yet commit in the future and even the abortion I had. Thank You, that all my sins are forgiven forever, because Jesus took the punishment that I deserved.Thank You that my promiscuous ways and the abortion I had is already forgiven at the cross and that I am Your child, simply because I trust in Jesus. Thank You Lord, for forgiving all my sin, and thank You that because I trust in Jesus, there is no condemnation on me at all. Thank You for sending this healing balm into my heart and thank You that am forgiven forever.Lord, I pray that if I hear the voice of accusation in my ears or in my heart, that You would help me to lift up my voice in praise to You, for You have promised that I am forgiven by the blood of Jesus, and I am not under condemnation.Lord, I want to live a life that is pleasing to You. Father, We come to you in the name of your Son Jesus Christ. We ask for your loving Mercy and kindness toward all who suffer as a result of the Earthquake, Tsunami and aftershocks which have devastated the people of Japan. Lord, for those who lost their lives, and those who mourn them, we ask for your loving mercy. Lord, for those who were wounded, we ask for healing and help. Lord, for those reaching out to the wounded, give them the supernatural graces, and the practical and economic resources they need in their efforts. Lord, for those who are searching for the dead, assist them in their effort so that all who lost their lives in this tragedy can be buried with dignity. We also pray also for those who were affected by this horrible disaster in Hawaii and those who are ministering to their needs. Father, may this natural disaster and true human tragedy become an invitation for your people to enter into the ongoing mission of reaching out to all of the poor and seeing in their face and in their need the face of your Son. During this Lent, we say "Yes" to your invitation to practice the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. May this human tragedy become for your people an occasion of grace and invitation to love. Dear Father God, please guide me as I begin my work today, I pray. Inspire and grant me Your grace and wisdom with all those that are sick and suffering, and use me to be a light in a darkened world and refreshment to souls that are weary. Give me the grace to deal with whatever I may encounter today, and help me to be use of You to minister healing and help to hurting people, both physically and in other ways. Heavenly Father, I come to You to offer my prayers and supplications for my teenager, knowing that in so many ways they have chosen to rebel against You and turn their back on all that they have been taught in their childhood years. Father, I ask that You would give me wisdom to know how to deal with this great sadness in my life which gives me such a pain in my heart. Lord, I feel so helpless and realise that the one and only course for me is to cast all my pain on You and to lay all my burdens down at your feet and ask Lord, that You would help me to know what to say and when to say it, and prompt me when to remain silent. Lord, keep me from actions that would antagonise the situation more and more but also I pray that You would enable me to say and do those things that will speak truth into this sad situation. Lord, I pray that whatever it takes, that You would minister Your healing touch into each of our lives and I pray that You would help to restore my own precious prodigal. At the moment Lord, it seems an impossible prayer, but I know that nothing is impossible with You, and so I ask Lord to bring my teenage child back into a right relationship with Yourself and with the rest of the family. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer and I pray that the answer will come speedily, but Lord, give me the patience and wisdom to wait Your time, and may the sorrow that this has brought be turned into joy, to Your praise and glory. Loving Lord, this little child is sick and I pray for Your healing touch on their life. Lord, You are the God Who heals, You are the great Physician and You know exactly what is wrong with this baby and what is needed to restore their health. Father, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, for You formed each of us in our mother�s womb and fashioned each of our bodies and You know where this particular problem lies.Father, I know that there is nothing in my friend�s body that You do not know about and nothing that is beyond Your ability to heal, and so I lift up this dear one to You.� You know the source of the pain, and Your healing touch still has its ancient power. I pray that You will heal this child of Yours and raise them back to full health and strength, and we will give You all the praise and all the glory.Please give me words of comfort and encouragement as I seek to advise them in difficult days that lie ahead. Oh Lord Jesus, my little one is not very well at all, and she is so tiny and vulnerable and I don�t know what to do to help. Give me wisdom I pray, and show me what I ought to do. Lord Jesus, You are the great doctor of all doctors and You know exactly what is wrong with her. Lord, I pray that You would overshadow my little baby and stretch out Your healing hand and touch her. O Good St. Anne you who cured the sick and laid a healing hand upon the lame, the blind, and the crippled, look with compassion upon me in my trouble. Dear God, the world seems so dark and foreboding.Where are the signs of hope?What are you calling us to do?Wars, uprisings, displacements, hunger, poverty, and disease continue to claim victims by the millions around the world each year.Our ears do not want to hear their stories and our eyes do not want to see their plight because the suffering and destruction is so massive and cruel.In our hearts and minds there is a desire to help somehow, but the crisis seem so overwhelming that we shake our heads in dismay and we wonder what the point is for us even to attempt to be witnesses for healing and hope in this hellish morass.We beg with the song writer to open our eyes that we may see glimpses of truth you have for us.Help us to follow the path of Jesus, the Suffering Servant. Give us the courage to be willing to walk the path of depression and pain with the victims of injustice here at home as well as abroad.Help us to seek ways to light candles of hope, however small, through our words, our deeds, and our prayers, to encourage our sisters and brothers to hold onto the faith in spite of the pain and suffering they are facing.And help those of us who are among the fortunate ones, who have enough bread to eat, good health, and who live in relative peace, to open our heart to learn from our sisters and brothers who are living lives of grace and forgiveness in the horrid circumstances which surround them. Oh Lord, I had an abortion thinking it was for the best, but the grief and guilt I have felt ever since I took that decision has haunted me, and I feel so ashamed of myself and riddled with guilt, by allowing a little life to be taken in this way.�My heart is so heavy and I find that I am not able to think about anything else and realise more and more that it is against You Lord, that I have sinned and done this great wrong.�Lord, I feel broken inside and pray for Your healing and comfort. You have promised to mend the broken-hearted and to set those that are captive to guilt and shame free, and Lord, You have promised forgiveness and restoration to all who come humbly to Your throne of grace and confess their wrongdoing. My hope is in You, for You alone can restore the joy of my salvation.�Thank You, that You are a forgiving God, Whose mercies are new every morning and that You that You have promised to carry all our guilt and burdens, and so I hand this over to You today, and ask for the healing and restoration that only You can give, and the grace to forget what is past and move on with You as my guide. Loving Heavenly Father, I am coming to you of behalf of so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ that are suffering with cancer. Lord, I place each one into Your loving care and pray that in Your grace, You will comfort their heart and soothe away all anxieties. Strengthen each one as they face a future which may be fraught with difficulties. Give them the peace that only comes from You, and I pray that You will uphold each one with the strength of Your mighty arm. Give those that are treating and caring for these dear children of Yours, the skill and wisdom to do what is best in dealing with this destructive illness. Father, I pray for healing of the body and health of the mind, but most of all I pray that through this trauma that has struck each life, You will draw each one of your children closer to the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray, Amen.
Dear God, the only source of healing and hope and the one fountain of peace, look down in pity and mercy on Your many children who are facing adversity and afflicted by the miseries that this world system is imposing.Provide for the needs for all those that are called by Your name who are facing financial hardships and health problems. Enrich them with Your heavenly hope, nourish them with all Your goodness and bring each of them safely into their promised home. Loving Lord, I praise You that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that You are the one Whose healing touch is still as powerful today as it was in the times of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and so I come to ask for that same healing power to be poured out over my daughter, who is not at all well. Lord, You know the exact reason why she is so poorly.. for You formed her in the womb and scheduled each day of her life.. and so I ask that You in Your grace and goodness You would minister to her need, and heal her speedily. Lord, I feel so helpless as I stand by and watch the progression of this illness, with little knowledge of what I really ought to do, and so I come to You to plead You healing power over her, and ask that You touch every part of her body and flow through her in each area that needs Your loving touch and healing hand. You know all about the emotional pain that I have been going through, and oh Lord, I need You to come into my heart and to bind up the brokenness within me. I feel that I have been battered and bruised emotionally and am almost gasping for breath, due to the pain that has been stabbing my heart.Lord, You know that I have no one in whom I can confide, because no one really understands the searing wounds that have shattered inside me and the deep anguish I am going through. Oh Lord, I come to You to heal my emotions, heal my wounded heart I pray. Heal the anguish that is deep inside.Lord, flood every corner of my being with Your soothing balm and Your healing love, and root out all the negative emotions that are bubbling inside me, like a smouldering volcano. Release into the aching void within, Your love and Your peace, Your hope and Your gracious presence, and gently carry me as a kindly Shepherd would carry a frightened, little wounded lamb. Lord, I am trusting in You, because I know that You alone can be trusted.Amen.
O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Oh Lord, I feel that both my heart and my life has been shattered into a thousand pieces and I don�t know what to do or which way to turn. I feel that I have no strength left and that everything in my life has become an utter failure. Have mercy on me I pray, according to Your great goodness and abundant grace.Lord, I know that Your Word says that You will give strength to the weary and hope to the distressed and I feel both weak and in distress, and ask for Your help and strength.Help me to wait on You, abide in You and rest in Your love, because I know that You have promised that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and rise up with the wings as eagles.Thank You also, that You have promised to heal the broken-hearted and restore those that are hurting. Thank You, Lord, for the mystery of, �Christ in you the hope of glory�. Thank You also, for the wonderful examples of men and women of faith, who have been given godly courage to carry out the duties that You called them to do. Lord, I pray that in the power of the Holy Spirit, You would develop in me a godly wisdom and courage to live my Christian life as light in a darkened world, whatever the cost. Father, You have called us to reflect Your light and to tell of Your healing power. May I be enabled by Your Holy Spirit to speak out Your Word of truth, in grace and love. Heavenly Father, I come to You once again to draw on Your sufficient grace which You have promised to all Your children, and I pray that You would give me Your perfect peace, to guard my heart in these very difficult days.�Throughout my life, I have come to You in time of hardship and You have never let me down. Dear Jesus, my friend has developed a lump on her breast and is concerned that this might be cancer. I ask You Lord Jesus to comfort and help her and to guide her, as to who she ought to go and see and what to do about this concern that she has. I know that You have said that if we ask anything in Your name You would do it. I ask You, Lord, to visit my friend at her point of need and minister to her and give her courage, as only You can � and Jesus, I ask that this lump may go right away. I also pray that You will use me to be a comfort and support at this worrying time and I pray that we both learn to rest in You and to trust You in all things, knowing that You care about every part of our lives and our bodies. Thank You that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and I pray for Your healing touch on my dear sister in Christ, that this lump will go away quickly, and we will praise Your name. Loving Lord, I know that nothing is impossible with You and nothing it too difficult for you to do. I know that you have healed many diseases and sicknesses and You have promised to be my Healer too. I pray for Your healing touch on my life and the cancer that is now beginning to spread through my body. Lord, I don�t know how to pray and at times I just feel unable to pray, but I lift my heart to You and pray that in Your time and in Your way You will touch my body and heal me of this disease. Thank You Father that You are the Giver of life and the Restorer of health and that Your healing touch is still as powerful today as it was during the time when Jesus walked the earth, and laid His hands on those that were sick and healed them. And so we ask that Your blessing and grace would rest on our mother as she is facing surgery and pray that You would remain very close to her throughout the whole operation� We ask that You would be with the surgeon as he performs this surgery and provide him with the skill and dexterity to carry out the operation without any medical complications or other unforeseen difficulties. We also lift up the rest of the nursing staff and other medics that will be involved.. and pray that there will nothing to impede the operation from going smoothly and successfully. � We pray that as our mother faces this surgery that Your peace, which passes human understanding would guard her heart and her mind so that she is enabled to rest in Your unchanging love and not be disturbed or upset by all that is happening. Be with us too as we await the outcome of the operation and may we all experience Your sufficient grace and keep our eyes looking to Jesus, knowing that He has promised to be with us through every problem of life � thank You in Jesus name, Amen
Dear Lord Jesus, my heart is aching as my husband has betrayed me and has found his sexual needs fulfilled in the arms of another � and I am devastated and pray that You would carry me through this intensely painful time. Lord I feel betrayed and it is a pain that is inexpressible, and I ask You to reach out Your healing arms of comfort and help me to come to terms with what has happened. Lord I know that in everything by prayer and supplication � (and even with thanksgiving) we are to make our requests known to You.. I wish this had never happened.. but it has, and I ask You to show me what to do and how to come to terms with this sadness. Show me I pray, how to move forward and help me to save my marriage. Lord I know that his adultery is a sin against You as well as me and I pray that my husband will see the error of his way and turn away from this ungodly liaison and seek Your forgiveness � and mine. I know that You have the power to move mountains and I pray that this great barrier that has been erected between us.. will be removed by Your grace �- but I also know that he has to be willing to turn away from his own sin - but I pray that Your Holy Spirit would deeply convict his heart of his serious wrongdoing. Father I believe that the enemy has been involved in causing my husband to fall into sin.. in this vulnerable area of his life. I believe that the enemy desires to shatter our marriage and leave in its wake many ruined lives and many hurting people, but Lord I pray that the wiles of the enemy may be thwarted and that my husband will turn from his wrong, sexual liaison and adulterous ways - and turn back to a godly way of life. This is my pray Lord.. Help me to come to terms with it. Help me to forgive.. Help me to more forward in my life but also help us to rebuild our marriage on a firm foundation �- where You are the One that leads and guides our future life together � this I ask in Jesus name, Amen
Heavenly Lord, I come to You today to lift up my dear sister, whose health is failing badly and who needs Your touch of healing on her life. Lord, I know that You are the Giver of life You know exactly what is the problem from which my sister is suffering, and I pray that in a wonderful way You would touch her and heal her as only You can.Father, I know that You have power to heal and sometimes to choose to heal a person and at other times Your will is to be an ever-present Help in the midst of our distresses. I ask Lord, that whatever the reason for my sister�s deteriorating health that You would give her the sufficient grace that You have promised to all Your children, so that you demonstrate not only to them but to those that have to do with them an amazing grace that only You can provide.Nevertheless Father, I pray that You will see fit to heal my sister and to raise her to full health and strength, but may Your perfect will be done in her life and we will give you all the praise and all the glory, for You alone are worthy to recover our worship and praise. In Your sovereignty, You are not surprised by anything that happens to any of Your children. I believe that You make all things work together for the good of us that love You. I believe that You care for each one of us with a perfect and holy love.I come to You today because my health has been deteriorating with some ailment that has not been diagnosed. I am not sure what to do, but I know that You understand everything about me. I believe that You know exactly what I need to bring me back to full health and strength and I am trusting You in this time of illness in my life.Please God, I ask for Your healing touch on my life, and pray that You would bring to my attention the treatment that is best suited for my condition. Please direct me in the way that I should go at this difficult time in my life. Dear Lord Jesus, thank You, that You are the One Who heals the broken hearted and sets the captives free. Thank You, that You are the one that knows every intimate detail about our lives, and Who sticks closer than a brother. Thank You, Lord, that You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us but desire to give all your children the peace that passes understanding, as we look to Jesus and secure our hearts upon Him. Thank You also, that You were the one that instituted marriage and ordained that a man should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, and that she in turn would honour and submit to her own husband under biblical principles. Lord, I confess that our marriage has become stale and the spark of love between us has become dim over time, so that we have become cool towards each other and careless towards You. Forgive us for allowing ourselves to slowly slide into this state of lukewarm love for each other and indifference towards You. And so I ask for healing in our marriage and a revival of the love that we once had for each other. Help us together to seek You, and to once again build up our relationship into a happy, harmonious unity where Jesus is returned to His rightful position in our lives. Father, I confess that because we have become careless in our relationship with You, our relationship with each other also suffered. Renew a right spirit within us both, and may we seek first the Lord Jesus and His righteousness, knowing that a marriage that is grounded in Him is the only way for a relationship to truly be blessed. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Loving Lord I lift up to You all those that are going through a season of despair and desperation, and pray that You would meet each one at their particular point of need � and knowing that Jesus is the only answer to every problem in life, we pray that You would make Yourself known to each one, in a new and very special way.� Lord, You came to heal the broken-hearted and to set at liberty those that are captive to sin and Satan. �And despair is like a prison door that shuts the needy man or woman away from their only source of freedom and healing.. that can meet their deepest need, and so we pray that You would break the chains that bind each person that is despairing today and in need of deliverance. Lord, You are the source of all comforts and the consolation of all those that are needy, and Yours is the only peace that delivers them from the bondage of their inner turmoil and deep despair. Lift up each one from the gloom of what entraps them and open the eyes of their heart to the One Who died for them on the cross and rose again.. so that He could carry them through the darkest hours of life and bring them safely through this increasingly evil world into the light of life that only He can supply �- this we ask in Jesus name, Amen
Heavenly Father, You know what the doctor has said and I feel quite stressed-out about my health, and come to ask You to heal me speedily, I pray. �Lord, I have knowing for some time that my health is not good, but I feel quite shocked and worried, and I pray that in Your grace You would touch my life and my body and give me the healing that I need.�I pray that You would also calm my mind and give me peace in my heart. I know that my times are in Your hands, but it is quite daunting to know that my health is so poor.�Show me what I can do to help my health to recover speedily, and in Your grace I ask You to heal me Lord. Dear God, You are the giver of life and health and You are the healer of the sick and the suffering. I pray for a dear friend who is in distress with ill-health today, and pray that You would help them to come to a full recovery and restore them to wholeness, health and strength. Lord, I do ask that You would meet my friend at their point of need, not only in their physical suffering but also in their spiritual sickness. Lord, my dear friend not only needs recovery of their physical health but recovery of their spiritual lack and the emotional pain that seems to be making their physical problem so much worse. Administer all Your gifts of health and healing for body and mind I pray, and multiply Your blessings and grace towards them so that they may be fully restored and come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of You. Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. Heavenly Father, I bring to You the many people that have found themselves in hospital and pray that in a wonderful way You would minister to them through the doctors and nurses and all those that are there to help them in their recovery. Lord, I pray that You would use this time in hospital to reach deep into the hearts of each these people, and help them to realise how fragile their lives are, and to cause them to consciously search for You with their hearts. Lord, I pray that as healing and health comes to their bodies, that spiritual healing and wholeness would come to their souls, and that the time they have spent in hospital would become a spiritual wake-up call, so that they re-evaluate their lives and realise their need of Jesus as their Saviour. I pray that they would accept Christ as their Redeemer and King. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, we live in a fallen world and are surrounded with so many men and women as well as boys and girls, who have suffered emotional damage or are going through emotional abuse, and I just want to take a few moments to lift up all those that are experiencing this type of trauma, and pray for Your healing touch on their lives.�Lord, You know every one who is in need of emotional healing and the hurt and pain that they are going through, and I ask You to meet each one at their own point of need. May they find their strength, support, comfort and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.�Refresh those that are weary, strengthen those that are weak, help the afflicted, deliver the needy, comfort the sorrowing, heal those that are hurting and draw very close to all who are in need of emotional healing. Gracious God, You have given us many healing remedies that are a benefit to us when we are sick. Through the miraculous intercession of St. Anthony, we ask Your blessing upon the medication prescribed for (mention name) so that he/she may experience healing, and be restored to full health in mind and body. Heavenly Father, there are many people who are suffering�with�short-term memory loss and many different reasons for their suffering.. and so we lift up each one to You and pray that in Your grace and mercy You would intervene in their lives and bring healing to each one in every area of their lives - spirit soul and body� Whether it is abuse of drugs and alcohol or sleep deprivation.. depression and stress, a deficiency in their diet or even a�stoke, head injury, or accident,�You�are the �one who created our bodies and You are the one who knows everything that is needed for health and wholeness.. and to bring back their precious memory. We pray that You would give the medics the wisdom and skill to correctly diagnose the cause of memory loss and to know what to do to treat and the correct it, so that they may be returned, to full health and strength. Dear Father God, thank You for the many blessings that we receive from You daily and especially for the wonderful gift of salvation, which we all have been given simply by trusting in Jesus as Saviour. Thank You, that He died to take the punishment I deserve for my sins, and that He rose again to break the power of sin and death in my life. How I praise You and worship You for all Your many blessing. Lord, I thank You for my life. I know that we are wonderfully created and every part of our body is a miracle, but I come to You today as I am not at all well in my body and my health seems to be failing. I have always been fairly healthy Lord, for which I praise You, but have come down recently with a number of unrelated ailments and Lord, I feel so poorly and ask for Your healing touch on my life. Be with me Lord, and with all that are facing similar problems in their lives. Lord, it seems that so many people that I know have contracted some sort of health problem, and I just ask You to visit each of us at this time of illness, stretch Your healing hand on each of our lives and restore us to good health. Thank You, that You are a God Who hears and answers prayers. In Jesus' name I pray,�Amen. �The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed; You will heal him on the bed where he lies.� (Psalm 41:3)
Lord Jesus, you came into the world to heal our infirmities and to endure our sufferings. You went about healing all and bringing comfort to those in pain and need. We come before you now in this time of illness asking that you may be the source of our strength in body, courage in spirit and patience in pain. May we join ourselves more closely to you on the cross and in your suffering that through them we may draw our patience and hope. Assist us and restore us to health so that united more closely to your family, the Church, we may give praise and honour to your name. Amen.
Father God, how we praise and thank You for the cross of Christ and all that it has meant to the fallen race of man. Thank You, that by His death on the cruel cross, the redemption price for mankind has been paid in full, so that whosoever will, may come and receive Christ as Saviour and will be forgiven of their sins and eternally reconciled with the Father. Thank You that You have restricted Salvation to this one way - Salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.. so that whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in the only begotten Son of God, stands condemned already - because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.Thank You, Lord, for that old rugged cross, which conjures us such a shocking picture of suffering and shame and yet Lord, it has become the glorious symbol of life and hope and peace with God. Thank You for the blood of Christ that was spilt so willingly for me, so that a sinner such as I, could be washed in its cleansing flood and made whole by the healing stream that flowed from Your heart of love into my wretched life. Amazing love, how can it be that Christ my God should die for me. Thank You, in Jesus' name,Amen.
May the Lord bless and keep all who are unwell today. May the Lord let His face shine upon all who are struggling with ill heath and sickness of body, mind or spirit, and may the Lord lift up the shining light of His lovely face on all who are struggling today, with various disease, disorders and health problems. May He rise up with healing on His wings and look with deep compassion and mercy on all who need His strength today. May He pour into all their hearts the peace and love that only comes from the Father, through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name we pray, Amen. �[I pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.� (Ephesians 1:17)
Dear Lord, my childhood was not the happy time that I would have liked it to be and my parents were certainly not the ideal example of parenthood, but Lord, I know that in their way they tried to do their best for us, but it always seemed to go sour. Thank You, Lord, that in Your grace, You lifted me out of this difficult and abusive family life to faith in Jesus. I praise You every day that You found me and brought me into Your family. Lord, I bring my parents to You. Life seems to have passed them by and they need to know Jesus as their Saviour. Lord, I know that You died for them as well and forgave every sin they have committed, for You are a gracious and loving God. I too want to forgive them for all that they did to me. I forgive both my parents, and thank You that in Your grace, You are taking me through a process of healing all the hurt and pain that I had to go through.�Bless them both, dear Lord Jesus, and I pray that both of them will come to know You as their Saviour.
